Intl Saturdays 34: We Love Wig

This was one of those lucky moments, when two elements just fell into place. Finding an elderly gentleman on the most hip-street in Tokyo – the Takeshita Dori – was a task in itself. But when i came across one, ah the lucky placement of that board.

PS: I couldn’t help noticing those star stickers on the blackboard, they were the exact kinds that were sold outside out school:P Some with those radium material which would glow in the dark. Bright back some memories:)

Intl Saturdays 15: Cuteness

Asakusa temple premise is buzzing with people. When i came out of the temple from the side and was going to capture it, i noticed this family exiting the temple as well. I really liked the expression on the lil one’s face and the insane detailing in her shoes and socks and the lovely hair. It was cuteness personified. And i really was lucky to have the baby stare right at me:)

Happy World Sparrow Day:)

As a kid, i used to see them everywhere. Now, i don’t see them much. So it was a pleasant surprise when i came across one whilst shooting the ducks around the Banganga tank. This one looked straight into the camera, before taking flight.

It is World Sparrow Day today. I am planning to get one of these nest boxes just to wake up to the sound of sparrows chirpring on my window sill.

Walking Tall

Millions enter the city after departing from the long distance train at CST station. Many thousands of them are those who have come here to try their luck in this city of gold. This boy crossing the road, reminded me of another boy with whom i had interacted last year. This other boy had run away from his home (in interior Uttar Pradesh) with a one way ticket to Mumbai to fulfill his dream of getting on a talent show on TV!
This is one of those rare instances, when i have patiently waited for the right moment to compose a photograph. Tried juxtaposing the grandeur of the railway building with this humble young man crossing the road.
