I happened to be in Hyderabad last year during the Diwali day. After returning from the Ramoji Film City tour, i decided to head to Charminar for some necklace shopping for Aai and my niece. The rush in this area was mind boggling. After having taken my fill of the Charminar shots, i decided to have some tea and Osmania buscuits at the adjoining Nimrah Cafe. Was treated to some really typical Hyderabadi slang whilst enjoying my tea by people surrounding me. Just then i noticed that the Charminar was lighted up.
It was going to be another photo session of the monument which looked out of this world thanks to the green adn blue lights. The sounds and light due to Diwali was an added incentive. Felt really good to see Hindus and Muslims celebrating the festival with equal fervour.
I was clicking the monument when suddenly out of nowhere this firecracker burst at just the right moment when i pressed the shutter. Result is for all to see. This is probably one of my maiden ‘Defining Moment” shots.
Take Care
Ciao
PS : WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY, PROSPEROUS AND SAFE DIWALI!!
