The Murud Janjira fort is the only fort that has not been captured by anyone to date. With that at the back of my head, i was expecting something i had never seen before in any other fort. And i did get to see it. The fort from within was in literal ruins.

Tried to capture the two aspects of the fort in this frame. While on the inside the fort is in shambles, its periphery represented here by the triangular projections is rock solid.

The ruins are not mere ruins, but a loss of history, a loss of culture, a loss. Feel really terrible when i see some of our historical monuments in this kind of state.
